Mark joined the Growth Fund following a year overseas in India where he worked for Lok Capital, a microfinance venture capital fund based in New Delhi, investing in financial services companies serving ‘bottom-of-the-pyramid’ clients across India. At Lok, he helped lead an investment in one of India’s largest microfinance companies, Spandana Innovative Financial Services, serving roughly a million clients in the country’s southern states. Mark began his career in investment banking, as an analyst with Banc of America Securities in San Francisco, providing corporate finance and M&A advisory to public and private technology companies. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, with concentrations in finance and foreign affairs.
