Anduril and Impulse Space to Work on America's Golden Dome

Anduril is leading a team of industry partners to develop, test, and deliver affordable solutions for the U.S. Space Force’s Space-Based Interceptor, or SBI, program, part of the Golden Dome for America initiative.

The program is designed to counter a growing range of advanced threats, including ballistic missiles, hypersonic weapons, advanced cruise missiles, and other highly maneuverable systems being developed by near-peer adversaries.

Anduril’s approach brings together its own defense technology capabilities with systems from across the commercial space industrial base. The company is working with Impulse Space, Inversion Space, K2 Space, Sandia National Labs, and Voyager Technologies to integrate critical, proven technologies into SBI solutions that can be delivered quickly and at scale.

“Effective layered missile defense requires both hardware and software working together to detect, track, and defeat incoming threats,” said Anduril CEO Brian Schimpf. “Anduril’s work supporting the SBI program and broader Golden Dome for America initiative is a direct reflection of our mission: to rapidly deliver advanced, mission-ready systems for the most critical challenges shaping the future of American defense. We are already moving at pace to deliver.”

“The Golden Dome program requires advanced solutions, which is where Impulse excels,” said Eric Romo, President and COO of Impulse Space. “Not only has our team proven its capability to do hard things quickly, but our spacecraft have too. We’re excited to work on missions that are technically challenging and globally meaningful, and Golden Dome is both.”
